We offer more than just Nutrition, We are helping you create your Healthy Lifestyle.

Have you ever walked into your doctors office with a complaint about one thing, only to be told, if you loose weight you’ll be fine? I have been there too. I have tried all the diets, extreme fasting, KETO, Cabbage soup, counting calories, counting macros, and doing this or that exercises. Some of them even worked, for a while but eventually they stopped working or they were not sustainable.

Over the last few years I have taken a completely different approach to my health, and while I am still working on my journey and still learning, I feel like we should never stop learning, I have enough people asking me for help along the way that I decided to go ahead and create this program. I have taken the time to go through schooling to become a Certified Personal Trainer though NASM, as well as a certified Nutritional Coach. I have also recently completed Harvard’s Sustainable Nutrition and Meal Planning Program. This is where I have developed a love of Lifestyle Medicine and am currently furthering my education through that as well as other aspects of fitness.

My weight issues started in childhood with emotional eating as a trauma response, coupled with some ADHD control issues. I never took the time to work on any of that part of things until recently, however in 2020 I like many people hit an all time high of my weight after having my third baby and something about a lockdown, you may remember that. After hitting over 569 pounds, which is where my home scale topped out at, I felt like I had to something to change where I was headed. My decision to loose weight in September of 2020 was a huge turning point, which all started over a picture you see on this page, I had absolutely no idea how big I had gotten until I saw it. I took control back that day and I can proudly tell you I am over 200 pounds down, and every day closer to my goal.

Despite being overweight my entire adult life, I am actively a professional belly dancer and teacher. I was a competitive athlete in college and even a body builder at one point. I fully understand how different every body is, and how different our expectations for our bodies can be!

I want you to know that I will be with you for all the wins and the set backs, I will be the support you need and the cheerleader you in your corner. There is no judgment in the journey because every step of it is a victory of your health!

Pillars of Lifestyle Medicine

Nutrition– the process of providing food and nourishment for the body.

Sleep– the average adult needs 7-9 hours of sleep every night.

Exercise– on average a person needs 150 minutes of moderate level activity per week.

Stress Management– setting aside time to take care of yourself and release your stress daily, weekly, monthly.

Social Connection– connecting with peers, family, friends, and community through daily, weekly, and monthly planned activities.

Avoidance of Risky Behaviors– avoiding risky substances like smoking, illicit drugs, and abuse of alcohol.

Why this matters to me

I have always been passionate about helping others, and lifting others up. As a successful woman I think it is our job to help lift up those around us. There is no one that can take what is ours from us, but only add to our successes. I struggled for so long with my own health and understanding my weight that once I figured it out, I just wanted to tell everyone who would listen.

I never want to see another person struggle with their health and happiness the way I did for so long, so unnecessarily.
